BRITISH MICROMOUNT SYMPOSIUM
The Society organises the British Micromount Symposium, held annually in September at the College Court Conference Centre in Leicester. This highly popular event attracts micromounters from all over the country, together with occasional guests from overseas.
The programme includes lectures by members and external guest speakers on a wide variety of topics, together with workshops and practical sessions. Saturday and Sunday afternoons are given over to a mass swap session with many hundreds of micros changing hands.
An auction of specimens, books and mineralogical related materials is held on Saturday evening in aid of Society funds.
An informal social evening and dinner takes place on the Saturday evening.

2023 Symposium
The 2023 Symposium was held on the 15th, 16th and 17th September at the Salwarpe Village Hall, Salwarpe.
2022 Symposium
The 2022 Symposium was held on the 16th, 17th and 18th September 2022.
2021 Symposium
The 2021 Symposium was held on the 17th, 18th and 19th September.
2020 Symposium
The 2020 Symposium was held virtually on Zoom on the 18th, 19th and 20th of September.
